Parish Celebration and Induction Mass of Fr Damian Nwankwo:

A Night to Remember:

Tuesday, 19th May at 7:00 pm was a truly wonderful and memorable evening, a divine gathering that beautifully united heaven and earth, marking a new chapter and spiritual renewal for the parishes of St Thomas More, Kidlington, and St Hugh of Lincoln, Woodstock.

People from different denominations came together to give thanks to God and to celebrate the induction ceremony of Fr Damian Nwankwo. The church was filled with distinguished guests and faithful parishioners. It was the first time the sanctuary of St Thomas More, Kidlington, had been graced by such a remarkable gathering of Canons and priests from both the Oxford North and Warwick & Banbury Deaneries.

Also present were many ministers from the Churches Together groups in Kidlington and Woodstock. In attendance were parishioners from Kidlington and Woodstock, members of Fr Damian’s former parish, Our Lady and St Benedict, Wootton Wawen, as well as friends and well-wishers from Coventry, Birmingham, and London.

Fr Damian cannot thank enough all the parishioners and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the ceremony such a great success. Special appreciation goes to the minor ministers, readers, flower team, media team (Zoom/YouTube), IT team who prepared the booklet, cleaners, greeters, choir, sacristans, social and entertainment team, printers, students and staff of St Thomas More School, photographers, wardens, and all those who coordinated the car parking.

Fr Damian is deeply overwhelmed and profoundly grateful for your sacrifices, support, prayers, and good wishes. In appreciation, he has promised a novena of Masses for all your intentions.
